FPI Community Director Heather Floyd shares a view from a third story apartment balcony at the Waterfront at the Marina grand opening Saturday.

The Waterfront at the Marina Luxury Apartment Homes held its grand opening on Saturday with an event that included food, drinks, charcuterie and snow cones along with paddleboard yoga, beachball and silk dancer performances. Live artists, a paint auction, and local DJ were also part of the grand opening celebration.

“We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind luxury living to Sparks, a fast growing up and coming community,” said Russell A. Rodriguez of Guardian Capital. “Our shoreline apartment homes are the only apartment community in RenoSparks that sits on the edge of the water with the best waterfront views. The community also wraps around an abandoned multi-story parking garage that we restored and turned into covered, secure parking for our residents.”

The new five story luxury community overlooks the Sparks Marina, Mount Rose and the Sierra Nevada mountain range and comes with 209 units of one to two bedroom and bath models, energy-efficient stainless steel appliances, a parking garage, 24-hour fitness studio with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, onsite yoga and fitness classes, a dog park, 2,000-square-foot Sky Lounge Roof Deck and pool and hot tub that face the Marina.

The luxury apartment community also sits next to the Marina Town Centre, home to Lighthouse coffee with restaurants set to move in later this year. The Towne Centre is welcoming the Sparks Water Bar, part of the Gar Woods family opening late 2019. Guardian Capital and LandCap Investment Partners own the Waterfront at the Marina apartment homes. Residents began moving in April 1
